Vancouver Real Estate Market

The real estate market and types of housing for Downtown Vancouver, Vancouver West and Vancouver East are very distinct from one another. Homes in Downtown Vancouver are mainly consisted of high-rise condos, and in the old Vancouver Westends neighborhood, the homes there are consisted of multi-family low-rise apartment buildings. In the north east corner of the city, the homes around Chinatown / Strathcona neighborhood are consisted of  33' frontage single family homes.

Vancouver Westside Homes

Vancouver Westside homes are expensive and compared favourably with ocean-viewed homes in West Vancouver. Single family homes located in the westside of Vancouver have larger lot sizes from 6,800 to 10,000 sq ft. There are some areas in old Shaghnesssy and Point Grey that may have lot size from 20,000 to 80,000 sq ft.

Vancouver East Homes

Homes in Vancouver East are more affordable as compared to Vancouver West. The lot sizes are generally smaller and the homes are mostly occupied by working class families.
