Can You Save Money On Condo Assignment?

Can a home seller dealing with condo assignment avoid paying high commission?

This is the question most new condo sellers are asking. A condo assignment sale through the MLS system will cost you between $10,000 to $15,000 plus GST for a condo between $300,000 to $400,000.

But, if there are restrictions from the developers that prevent pre-completion new condos from being listed on the MLS system, the exposure for the lsitings are curtailed.

For sellers who are faced with this problem, marketing their condos become a big problem. They may have to resort to other arrangements to expose and sell their condos. A fee agreement with a Realtor as Buying Agent may work for them and also save them some sale commission

The marketing problems faced by these sellers are:

1) There must be a way for buyers to find these condos that are for assignment sale.
2) Acceptance by Buyer and Seller to pay a Realtor teh expected commission to put a deal together.
